Advice For Road Users As It Gets Dark Earlier

I love autumn and the approach of winter – even though I don’t like wandering around outside in the dark.

If you are a cyclist please make sure your bike is fitted with lights (and you know how to switch them on). Whilst you are at it please buy some reflective clothing to wear.

If you are a driver please familiarise yourself with the flashing orange lights at the corners of your vehicle – these are useful for telling me which direction you intend to travel in. They are particularly useful in the dark because I am not telepathic.

On the subject of lights – I know LED lights make fashionable headlights and you need to have them on at night but I have a question for you. Do they come with a dimmer switch???

Some of you drivers don’t seem to realise exactly how bright your headlights are as you are driving along – especially when you have got the newer models of car. Please adjust your headlights to the lighting conditions whilst you are driving.
