We are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Fleet.

At around 4pm on Sunday, January 22, the 68-year-old victim was driving on Bourley Road in a silver Honda Civic when another vehicle, described as a dark Peugeout-style hatchback car, pulled up in front of him.

A man, believed to be a passenger, got out of the car and approached the victim’s vehicle before assaulting him.

The victim suffered facial injuries as a result.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who saw two vehicles matching this description in the area at this time.

A 23-year-old man from Aldershot, and a 23-year-old woman from Church Crookham, Fleet, have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44170027428, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
