Wild swimming is something that really resonates with me (Stu), the combination of rural site and uncrowned natural water just somehow does it for me. This is a bit of a problem as I really struggle getting into cold water so I always start really enthusiastically organising a wild swimming trip only to try to back out as soon as my toes touch the water! I always eventually manage to get in (usually after Milla has spent 5 mins chasing me and chucking water at me) and love it once I’ve gone over the initial shock!

So it was in one of these enthusiastic planning phases that I decided to plan a wild swim into our recent trip to Dartmoor.
