Members of the public urged to contact police with stolen classic car sightings

templateheaderimage11072012134248Officers from North Surrey CID are appealing for information after a classic sports car was stolen from a property in Staines-on-Thames.

The car was last seen parked on the driveway outside an address on Hithermoor Road, Stanwell. It is believed that the vehicle was taken between 12.30am and 2.30am on Monday, 21 July.


The distinctive vehicle has been described as being a Red MGB 2 seater Roadster with a black fabric roof. On the rear boot of the vehicle there is a metal and wooden luggage shelf. It has silver spoke alloy wheels and black leather seats with red piping.

The car is a 1964 Mk1 with distinctive door handles not featured on later models. It has a small scuff on the near side front wing around three quarters of the way along from the front and 3 small scratches on the left side of the bonnet.
